An apprenticeship with us enables you to learn the demanding activities and processes of a modern industrial company. In addition to developing your professional competence, training also gives you the opportunity to develop yourself personally, to recognize and expand your strengths.
Your work
Today, nothing works without metal. For example, all machines consist of metal parts. And what does the foundry mechanic (m/f/d) have to do with it now? He creates these parts!
As a foundry mechanic (m/f/d), you use a model to produce casting molds from sand or mold, which are required for casting workpieces made of steel, iron or other metals. This is still real handwork - as the name of the training profession already suggests.
Your work is a combination of physical effort and high concentration, because handling liquid metal always requires your utmost attention.
As a foundry mechanic (m/f/d), you are an important part of manufacturing products that would not exist without you.
What you should bring
In order to train as a foundry mechanic (m/f/d) specializing in hand molding with us, you should be able to complete school education with good grades in mathematics and science subjects. Craftsmanship and interest in metal processing, spatial awareness, diligence and concentration, physical resilience and, of course, the ability to work in a team are also important; because even the best individual player is only successful as a team.
