Rollers “made in Deuz” are used worldwide and stand for sophisticated technology and the highest quality. This standard is our commitment: Technological perfection and continuous innovation are a tradition for us—for over 200 years.
Our company's history dates back to the 17th century. At that time, the first generation of the Irle family made the extraction and processing of iron their profession—and their calling.
The first hard-cast rollers were produced in 1820, and the first rollers for paper and cardboard production were produced in 1884. IRLE also manufactured the world’s first centrifugal-cast rollers based on its own patent.
For generations, management of the company remained within the family: Albert Irle’s daughter married into the von Gumpert family, and a generation later, Gabriele von Gumpert married Jaxa von Schweinichen. Since then, Irle Rolls has been in the hands of the von Schweinichen family.
The personal dedication and entrepreneurial spirit of subsequent generations have established our company’s reputation and global standing. Today, Irle Rolls stands as a high-performing company of international significance.
